During Deep Tech Momentum (DTM) in Berlin, EDWATEC Co-founder and CTO Amir Youssefi spoke with Gareth Joseph from Alluvium Media about the critical role of integrated optical amplification in the future of AI infrastructure.
In this short interview, Amir briefly explains what EDWATEC does, why optical interconnects are becoming a major bottleneck as AI systems scale, and how our on-chip optical amplifiers can enable more compact, efficient, and scalable data-center connectivity.
He also shares EDWATEC’s plans to scale rapidly—from today’s technology validation with industry leaders toward high-volume production and millions of units per year.
